Ridhi Shetty is currently a Policy Counsel at the Center for Democracy & Technology, a position held since March 2020. Prior to this role, Ridhi worked as a Research Assistant for Professor Sherizaan Minwalla and contributed to legal research related to women's rights and international law. Ridhi gained practical legal experience as a Student Attorney at the American University Washington College of Law, focusing on client representation and legal research in various family law cases. Additional experiences include summer internships at Responsive Law and the DC Office of Human Rights, where Ridhi researched legislative issues and attorney conduct. Early career roles include copy editing at HYCIDE Magazine and The Budgetnista, and administrative management at Aljira, a Center for Contemporary Art. Ridhi earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from American University Washington College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from Rutgers University - Newark.
