Sierra R.

Sierra R. has a diverse work experience in various organizations and roles. Sierra started their career at the Bayfront Maritime Center as a Program Coordinator and later worked at the DC Sail as a Communications Intern. Sierra then joined the Connecticut Campus Compact as a Development Associate (AmeriCorps VISTA Leader) before becoming the MYO AmeriCorps Program Director at the Regional Youth Adult Social Action Partnership.

In 2015, Sierra joined the U.S. House of Representatives as a Staff Assistant for Congressman Jim Himes. Sierra then moved on to the Center for Employment Opportunities, where they held multiple roles, including Manager of Institutional Giving, Senior Manager of Institutional Giving, Director of Institutional Giving, and Director of Development Operations. Sierra also served as the Senior Director of Development (Interim) and is currently the Director of External Affairs Operations.

Additionally, Sierra was a Co-Director at Nonprofit Lighthouse starting in 2020. Their work experience spans across different areas such as development, communications, program coordination, and leadership.

Sierra R. holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies from Allegheny College. Sierra also pursued a Master of Professional Studies in Legislative Affairs from The George Washington University. Additionally, Sierra R. has obtained a Salesforce Certified Associate certification from Salesforce in 2023.
