Cassandra Downey Shellhorn has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Cassandra began their career in 1991 at AtlantiCare, where they worked as an Operations Manager until 2010. Following this, they joined the University of Phoenix as an Instructor from 2008 to 2013. In 2015, they became a Project Coordinator for Quality Care Resource & Referral Services Inc, working in the County Council for Young Children until 2017. In the same year, they took on the role of Sr. Program Director, Community Services at the Center For Family Services. Currently, they hold the position of Director Of Community Services at the Family Service Association.

Cassandra Downey Shellhorn obtained a Master's degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix in 2002-2004. Prior to that, they completed an Associate's Degree in General Studies at Atlantic Cape Community College. Cassandra also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from Stockton University.
