Jennifer Higgins

Jennifer Higgins serves as the Director of Grants at the Center for Human Development (CHD) since November 2022 and is the Owner of CommonWealth GrantWorks since October 2019. Previous experience includes roles as a Special Government Employee at the FDA from March 2014 to November 2021, and as the Director of Research & Policy at the Association of Developmental Disabilities Providers from November 2016 to October 2019, where research and policy analysis were conducted on issues impacting provider members. Higgins also held positions at CHD from June 2014 to October 2016 as the Director of Strategic Planning and Business Development, and as Director of Compliance and Quality Assurance. Additionally, involvement with the City of Northampton as a member of the Elected Officials Compensation Advisory Board occurred from April 2014 to December 2014. Earlier experience includes managing the clinical trials department in psychiatry at Hartford Hospital from April 2010 to November 2012. Educational qualifications include an MBA from Springfield College, a Ph.D. in Gerontology from UMass Boston, and a BA in Sociology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
