Katrina Hanawalt began their work experience in 1997 as a Manager at The Boiler Room. In 2008, they became a Mental Health Therapist at Compass Health, where they worked until 2013. In 2011, they joined Little Bird Child & Family Therapy as a Child & Family Therapist until 2013. From 2012 to 2020, they worked at the Center for Human Services, holding positions such as an Infant-Early Childhood Mental Health Therapist, Mental Health Director, and Community-Based Intensive Services Director.

Katrina Hanawalt, LMFT CMHS completed their education from 2004 to 2007 at Antioch University Seattle. During this period, they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Psychology, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy.
