Ilse Haro, M.A., is a dedicated education professional with extensive experience in supporting youth with social and emotional issues. Currently serving as a Student Assistance Specialist at the Center for Human Services since November 2021, Ilse implements individualized and group sessions, conducts classroom presentations, and collaborates with parents and outside agencies. Previous roles include Behavior Specialist Aide at Sylvan Union School District, where Ilse provided support for children with behavioral challenges, and Behavioral Interventionist II/Scheduling Assistant at Central Valley Autism Project, focusing on Applied Behavior Analysis therapy for children with Autism. Earlier experience includes leadership as Chief Of Staff at Brenden Theatres and tutoring at Merced Community College District. Ilse holds a Master of Arts in Education (Counseling) from San Diego State University, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Stanislaus, and an Associate of Arts in Psychology from Merced Community College District.

Center for Human Services (CHS)
Center for Human Services opened in 1970 as Head Rest, a drop-in center for youth who needed support. Now, with over 250 paid staff, at least 100 volunteers, and operating budget of 12 million dollars, CHS serves over 20,000 clients a year through programs in the areas of shelter, juvenile justice services, mental health counseling, school-based services, family resource centers, and substance abuse prevention and treatment. Our services continue to support the youth and families of Stanislaus County. CHS has a long history here, and we do what we can in response to the needs of our community.
