Cam McLay is an accomplished public safety consultant and former police leader with extensive experience in organizational transformation, community policing, and police reform. Currently serving as Principal Consultant at TPL Public Safety Consulting since 2013, McLay focuses on improving organizational culture and leadership systems in public safety organizations. Previously, as Senior Director of CompStat for Justice at the Center for Policing Equity, McLay worked on enhancing police legitimacy and reducing racial disparities in justice outcomes. In roles such as Deputy Mayor of Madison, Senior Advisor for Police Reform in Seattle, and Chief of Police in Pittsburgh, McLay led initiatives to develop sustainable accountability systems and leverage data-driven approaches to improve community relations and organizational performance. McLay holds a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Colorado State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Forensic Studies from Indiana University Bloomington.
