Hector Rivera

Hector Rivera is an experienced professional in the fields of diversity, equity, inclusion, and community engagement, currently serving as the Director of Equity and Inclusion at Playwrights Horizons since January 2023. In addition to this role, Hector is a trainer at the Center for Racial Justice in Education since December 2018. Previous positions include Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Manager at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts from September 2020 to January 2023, and Manager of Community Engagement at Lincoln Center Education from October 2017 to September 2020. Hector also held roles at DreamYard Project as Manager of Children and Family Programs and Program Coordinator from January 2014 to October 2017, and at The Berkshire Fringe, where initial work as a performing arts intern transitioned to a Box Office Manager position from June 2010 to August 2012. Earlier experiences include internships at The Chefs Warehouse and Global Kids. Hector holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies and Theatre from Bard College at Simon's Rock and a Children's Program Administrator Credential from CUNY School of Professional Studies.
