Katherine Kjellström Elgin, Ph.D., currently serves as a Fellow at the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments (CSBA), contributing to strategic analysis and policy discussions since August 2021. Prior roles include Defense and Foreign Policy Publications Editor, where Katherine edited and proofread publications for high-profile think tanks and academic institutions. As a DAAD Post-Doctoral Fellow at The Johns Hopkins University's SAIS, Katherine conducted policy analysis on great power competition and the transatlantic relationship. Katherine's significant experience includes roles as a Maritime Geopolitics Research Analyst at the Brookings Institution, International Crisis Simulation Director at Princeton University, and various consulting positions related to security and strategic education. Katherine earned a Ph.D. in Public Affairs (Security Studies) from Princeton University, where also a master's degree and bachelor's degree in related fields were obtained.
