Toshi Yoshihara is a senior fellow at the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments since March 2017 and an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Walsh School of Foreign Service, teaching a graduate course on seapower in the Indo-Pacific. Previous academic roles include visiting professor at The Fletcher School Of Law and Diplomacy from January 2012 to May 2017, and professor and John A. van Beuren Chair of Asia-Pacific Studies at the Naval War College from September 2006 to February 2017. Toshi Yoshihara has also held visiting professorships at UC San Diego School of Global Policy and Strategy and Air War College. Educational qualifications include a PhD in International Security Studies from The Fletcher School at Tufts University, an MA in Strategic Studies from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and a BSFS in East Asian Studies from Georgetown University.
