Joyce Loveless

Senior Executive Director, South Region at Center for Supportive Schools

Joyce Loveless is Senior Executive Director for the South Region, leading the organization’s expansion efforts throughout the region to increase the number of students benefitting from CSS solutions. Before joining CSS, she was Senior Director for Schools Services for NC New Schools/Breakthrough Learning and the NC State Director for Early College High Schools. In these roles, Joyce designed, developed, and supported over 180 innovative schools focused on transforming classrooms into student-centered, personalized learning environments that align with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for success in careers and higher education. She has also served as Executive Director for Access and Equity for the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards and is a National Board Certified Teacher herself who has taught elementary and middle school students in Virginia and North Carolina. Joyce holds a master’s degree in adult education from North Carolina State University and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Virginia Tech.
