Karen Grisales

Karen Grisales is a Community School Coordinator working with Whitney M. Young, Jr. Community School (PS 15) in Jersey City, New Jersey. As a Community School Coordinator, she is responsible for the day-to-day management of the community school strategy in collaboration with school leadership and community partners. Prior to joining CSS, Karen worked in The San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD), the Jersey City Board of Education (JCBOE), and the New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH) providing support services to parents, students, and staff. She brings with her over twelve years’ experience in youth development, PBSIS, restorative practices, and school climate and culture. Karen is bi-lingual and holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Kean University.
