Fernando F. Illescas, MD has extensive experience in the field of vascular and interventional radiology. Fernando F. started their career as an Attending Radiologist and Assistant Professor of Radiology at Duke University Medical Center from 1983 to 1986. Fernando F. then continued their career at McGill University Health Centre from 1986 to 1991, where they held the position of Attending Radiologist and Assistant Professor of Radiology. Following this, they joined Jefferson Radiology in 1991 as a Vascular and Interventional Radiologist, a position they held until 2015. Since 2016, they have been working at the Center for Vein Restoration, where they serve as the Medical Director of Connecticut and New York. In this role, they specialize in venous disease and offers comprehensive and minimally invasive outpatient treatment for chronic venous insufficiency. With over 15 years of experience in the field, Dr. Illescas is dedicated to providing compassionate, safe, and effective venous treatment to their patients.

Fernando F. Illescas, MD completed their medical education from 1975 to 1979 at McGill University School of Medicine, receiving an MD, CM degree. In 1983 to 1984, they pursued a fellowship in Vascular/Interventional Radiology and Abdominal Imaging at Duke University School of Medicine. In 1984, they became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Later, in July 1997, Dr. Illescas obtained added qualifications in Vascular and Interventional Radiology from the American Board of Radiology.
