Kris Cox currently serves as the Deputy Director of Federal Tax Policy at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, a position held since August 2019, after previously working there as a Senior Tax Policy Analyst. Prior to this role, Kris Cox was associated with Innovations for Poverty Action from November 2012 to May 2019, progressing through several positions including Regional Director for Africa and Country Director. Academic experience includes serving as a Teaching Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School of Government in 2011 and working as a Research Assistant to the Minister of Health in Rwanda. Earlier career roles include Research Associate at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities and Parent Development Program Associate with Public Allies. Kris Cox holds a Master in Public Policy (MPP) from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and History from the University of Virginia.
