Daniel Phipps

Daniel Phipps has a diverse work experience in various industries. Daniel is currently working as a Business Development Representative at Center, where they are involved in transforming spend management with a configurable and intelligent solution. Prior to this, Daniel worked at Voyageur Outward Bound School, where they held multiple roles. As a Course Director, they oversaw all aspects of courses and managed a team of direct reports. Daniel also served as a Lead Instructor, building positive relationships with students and providing training to new instructors. Additionally, Daniel worked as a Dog Yard Manager, supervising staff and providing guidance to new employees.

Outside of Voyageur Outward Bound School, Daniel started their own stone masonry business, specializing in retaining walls, veneers, and staircases, under the name Backcountry Stone Masonry. Daniel also worked as a Crew Lead (Contract) at Tree Trust and as a Dog Sled Guide at White Wilderness Sled Dog Adventures, where they were responsible for guiding and ensuring safety during dog sledding trips. In 2015, Daniel worked as a Summer Resident at Will Steger Wilderness Center, contributing to property upkeep, restoration, stone masonry, and woodworking.

Overall, Daniel has demonstrated strong leadership, managerial, and interpersonal skills in their various roles.

Daniel Phipps obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies from Saint John's University, which they attended from 2013 to 2015. In addition to their degree, they also obtained certifications in CPR, AED & Anaphylaxis from the American Heart Association in May 2018, as well as certification as a Wilderness First Responder from Wilderness Medical Associates International in May 2018.
