Kelly Penn has extensive experience in therapeutic recreation and special education, serving as an ABA Therapist at The Center for Autism and Related Disorders, Inc. since July 2013. Previously, Kelly worked as a Crisis Resource Instructional Assistant with Fairfax County Public Schools, where responsibilities included providing safe spaces and implementing crisis intervention strategies for students with emotional disturbances. As a Therapeutic Recreation Site Director, Kelly ensured safety and developed behavioral management plans for camp participants with disabilities. Experience also includes serving as a Therapeutic Recreation Intern at Dominion Hospital, focusing on treatment for patients with mental illnesses, and as a Recreation Leader planning activities for children with ADHD and emotional disturbances. Kelly earned a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation & Outdoor Education from Longwood University in 2012.
