Gina Alicea is an experienced art educator and spiritual teacher with a diverse professional background. Currently serving as the Gallery Director at the University of Chicago's Corvus Gallery since July 2014, and as an Art Teacher at the University of Chicago Lab School since August 2007, Gina is also the Chair of the Fine Arts Department, focusing on curriculum development for the Fine Arts program. In addition, Gina has been a Spiritual Teacher at Centers for Spiritual Living since May 2009, facilitating spiritual practices and counseling individuals. Prior roles include Advisory Committee Member for Arne Duncan, Art Teacher for Chicago Public Schools, Executive Director at Textile Arts Center, and Textile Designer at Van Vechten Textiles. Gina holds multiple degrees, including an M.F.A. in Fiber, Textile and Weaving Arts from Northern Illinois University, and is pursuing a Masters of Interfaith Ministries from Emerson Theological Institute.
