Ryan Kielty has over 15 years of experience advising and executing restructuring, financing and M&A transactions for companies, creditors, acquirers, shareholders and other stakeholders across a wide range of industries, including retail and consumer products, energy, business services, coal and other natural resources, real estate, general industrial, telecommunications, technology, gaming, healthcare and financial institutions. Mr. Kielty’s notable company-side experience includes representing Residential Capital (recipient of the M&A Advisor award for Restructuring Deal of the Year 2013), Sears Corp., ACA Financial Guaranty Corporation, American Eagle Outfitters, Cloud Peak Energy (both 2016 liability management and 2019 restructuring transactions), Caesars Entertainment, Inc., Catalina Marketing Corporation, US Foods, Inc., Country Road Communications, the J.C. Penney Corporation, Omnicare, Inc., Motor Coach Industries International, Toys R’ Us, Inc., the Kerzner Family, J.Jill, Inc., Stallion Oilfield Services, Lear Corporation, Mervyns, Emerald Oil, The Palisades Center (the Pyramid Companies) and Performance Sports Group. Mr. Kielty has also represented acquirers and creditors in transactions involving Acosta, Inc., Brooks Brothers, CDX Gas Corporation, Exela Technologies, Pacific Exploration & Production, Molycorp, UTEX Industries, Inc., Walter Investment, DS Waters of America, Transcend Services and Stuyvesant Town/Peter Cooper Village (special servicer), among others.

Mr. Kielty joined Centerview Partners in 2011 to help establish its restructuring and debt advisory practice. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Kielty was formerly an Associate at Miller Buckfire & Co. where he started his career.

Mr. Kielty is an active member of various industry trade organizations, including the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Turnaround Management Association.

Mr. Kielty holds a B.A. (with distinction) from Villanova University.
