Li Poa has a significant amount of experience in the field of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery. Li most recently served as the Medical Director of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at Centinela Hospital Medical Center starting in July 2019. Prior to this role, Li Poa held positions such as Director of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery at Meds Global since February 2005, Chief of Cardiac Surgery at Providence Little Company Of Mary Medical Center, Torrance from February 2013 to June 2019, and Medical Director of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at Providence Little Company of Mary Hospital from January 2012 to June 2019. Li also has experience as the Chief and Medical Director of Cardiac Surgery at Stamford Hospital from June 2007 to September 2009, and as the Director of Perioperative Services and Chief of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at Enloe Medical Center from September 2001 to August 2007. Li Poa began their career as the Chairman of Surgery at Daniel Freeman Hospitals and held this position from 1998 to 2001.
Li Poa completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Finance and Marketing from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management in 1986. From 1985 to 1989, Li Poa attended Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, earning an MD degree with Honors. Following that, from 1994 to 1996, Li Poa pursued a Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the UCLA Medical Center.
