Omid Paknia, PhD. EMBA has a diverse background in the field of genetic diagnostics and bioinformatics. Omid has held various roles at CENTOGENE, starting as a Bioinformatician in 2015 and working their way up to becoming the Vice President of Operations Multiomics. During their time at CENTOGENE, Omid has demonstrated their expertise in managing operations, implementing quality assurance systems, and leading cross-functional teams.

Prior to joining CENTOGENE, Omid worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover from 2011 to 2014. Omid also served as a Research Assistant at Ulm University, where they contributed to scientific publications and gained expertise in statistical software and data management.

Before their research and industry roles, Omid worked as an Assistant Professor at Golestan University, where they excelled in teaching and research.

Omid Paknia, PhD. EMBA, has a diverse education history. In 1995, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, with a focus on Molecular Biology, from Golestan University. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Medical Entomology from Tarbiat Modares University, which they completed in 2002. Omid then furthered their studies at Ulm University, where they completed a Doctorate in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology in 2010, receiving the degree of Dr. rer. Nat. In 2023, they will be completing an Executive MBA program at Quantic School of Business and Technology.
