Ivan de Souza Monteiro

Ivan de Souza Monteiro currently serves as CEO and Chairman of the Board at Eletrobras since August 2022, and holds multiple leadership roles at Credit Suisse Brasil including Chairman of Wealth & Investment Banking and Co-CEO. Previously, Ivan was CEO of Petrobras from March 2013 until December 2018, guiding the company through significant challenges and financial crises. Additional experience includes serving as Independent Member and Risk Committee Consultant at Nubank and various board positions in companies such as IRB Brasil RE and Banco do Brasil, where Ivan played a pivotal role in financial strategies and operations. Ivan holds an MBA from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro and an MBA in Executive Finance from Ibmec, along with a degree in Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering from Instituto Nacional de Telecomunicações.
