Erick Wong

Erick Wong has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Erick began their career as a Software Engineer at Bell Northern Research in 1992, followed by roles as a Systems Analyst at Shell Canada in 1993. Erick then joined Shell Canada again in 1994, working in Systems and Network Engineering roles.

In 1998, Erick had brief stints at CGI and Intria-HP, where they worked in Payment Systems. Erick then moved to Ernst & Young in 1999 as a Consultant before joining Visa Inc in 2000. During their time at Visa, Erick held various leadership positions, including Senior Director of Product Management, Senior Director of Strategic Relationships, and Senior Director of Global Mobile Product. Erick'stenure at Visa ended in 2017 as they held the position of Vice President of Digital Solutions.

After Visa, Erick joined Samsung Electronics in 2017 as the Director of Service Strategy until 2022. In that same year, they also served as the President of Ellaelsa Initiatives. Erick'smost recent role is as the Chief Product Officer at Central 1, starting in November 2022.

Erick Wong pursued their Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo from 1989 to 1994. Following this, they went on to complete their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Financial Risk Management from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management, attending from 1997 to 1999.
