Sue Whitney has held various leadership positions throughout their career. Sue started at the Government of Canada, Department of Finance as the Chief Corporate Secretary from 1991 to 1995. Sue then joined Interac Association/Acxsys Corporation where they served as the Director of Business Enhancement for five years, leading initiatives such as migration to EMV chip technology and expanding related-company services. Sue's next role was at ACI Worldwide Inc. as a Senior Consultant, focusing on smart cards. In 2007, they joined Visa Inc. and progressively advanced to become the Head of Strategy and New Products, responsible for diversifying Visa's product offerings. From 2015 to 2019, Sue worked at Payments Canada as the Head of Product Strategy and Head of Industry Relations for Payments Modernization, where they built relationships to support modernization efforts. Currently, they are the Vice President of Payments Strategy and Relationships at Central 1. Sue has shown exceptional leadership skills, built extensive networks, and led diverse teams throughout their career.
Sue Whitney has a Master of Arts degree in Political Studies with a focus on Canada-US Trade Relations from Queen's University. Sue also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honours in Political Science from Dalhousie University.
