Deputy Director - Banking And Payments Services And Head Of Banking Front Office Operations at Central Bank of Kenya

Rahab Runoh has a diverse work experience spanning several positions and companies. Rahab recently joined the Central Bank of Kenya as the Deputy Director of Banking and Payments Services and Head of Banking Front Office Operations. Prior to that, they worked at I&M Bank Ltd as the Assistant General Manager of Process Re-engineering. Before their roles in the banking industry, Rahab held various positions at Tanfeeth, a subsidiary of Emirates NBD Group, including AVP- Head of Operational Risk and Risk and Control Manager in Treasury Operations. Rahab also has experience working at the National Bank of Kenya, where they held the positions of Head of Cash & Corporate Operations and Treasury Operations Manager. Additionally, Rahab worked at Standard Chartered Bank in roles such as Operations Support Manager in Financial Markets Operations, Business Analyst in Wholesale Bank Operations, and Process Analyst in the Shared Service Centre Africa. Throughout their career, Rahab has demonstrated a strong ability to develop and embed risk and control functions, streamline operations, and lead teams towards achieving key objectives.

Rahab Runoh completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering at Maseno University from 2000 to 2005. Rahab then attended Senior Chief Koinange High School from 1995 to 1998 and obtained their High School diploma. Currently, Rahab is pursuing a Master's Degree in Business Administration at the University of Nairobi.

In terms of additional certifications, Rahab has obtained the Certified Operational Risk Management certification from Casual Capital in 2018. Rahab also received training in Executive Communication & Team Cohesion from Ernst & Young LLP in 2018. In 2017, Rahab completed a program in Stakeholder Management & Visionary Thinking at NYU Abu Dhabi. Additionally, Rahab holds various certifications that were not specified with the institution or completion dates.
