Ruddy Simons-Llauger

Ruddy Simons-Llauger has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Their most recent role was as the Cyber and Information Security Director (CISO) at Banco Central de la Rep. Dom., starting in 2018. Prior to that, they worked at Trend Micro from 2007 to 2018, where they held various positions including BDM Manager, Regional Account Manager, Major Account Manager Chile, and Major Account Manager Colombia. In these roles, they developed and generated new opportunities for Cloud/Virtualization Security and Threat Defense solutions, promoted custom defense strategies, and worked with various partners and providers.

Before joining Trend Micro, Simons-Llauger worked at Zettanets as the Director of Sales and Technical Operations from 2005 to 2007, where they led the sales and technical services of telecommunications solutions in the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean. Prior to that, they were the Director of Technology Operations at Innovatica, S.A. from 1995 to 2005. Here, they were responsible for services operations, presales/consulting, customer support, and product management for various prestigious brands in the enterprise and telecommunications sectors.

Simons-Llauger's earlier work experience includes roles such as Technical Support Manager at Data Proceso, S.A. from 1993 to 1995 and Technical Support Engineer for Novell Netware at Integradores de Sistemas Computacionales ISC from 1992 to 1993. RUDDY also served as an Assistant to the Director of Systems Engineering School and Supervisor of Computer Labs at Universidad Central del Este - UCE from 1986 to 1992.

Throughout their career, Simons-Llauger has gained extensive experience in cyber security, sales and technical operations, telecommunications solutions, and product management. RUDDY has worked with prestigious brands and has a strong background in cloud security, threat defense, and data protection.

Ruddy Simons-Llauger attended Colegio Evangélico Miguel Limardo, S.P.M. from 1981 to 1985, where they completed their high school education with a focus on physics and mathematics. They then went on to the Universidad Central del Este - UCE, where they obtained a degree in Systems Engineering from 1988 to 1992. In 2021, Ruddy enrolled at TECH Technological University to pursue a Master's degree in Cybersecurity Management, which they are expected to complete in 2023. In terms of certifications, Ruddy obtained various cybersecurity-related certifications, including ISO 27032:2023 Cybersecurity Specialist/Manager Certified and Proofpoint Certified Security Awareness Specialist 2023 in 2023, ISO 27032:2012 Cybersecurity Specialist/Manager Certified in 2022, and ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Specialist/LI Certified in 2021.
