Michelle Horswell

Michelle Horswell has a diverse work experience in talent and organizational development. Michelle is currently working as the VP of Talent and Organizational Development at Central Bank Houston since January 2023. Prior to this role, they held the position of AVP of Talent and Organizational Development at the same company from November 2020 to January 2023. Before joining Central Bank Houston, Michelle worked at Community Resource Credit Union as the Learning and Development Manager from July 2016 to November 2020. In this role, they were responsible for developing a comprehensive talent strategy and overseeing the design, development, and delivery of learning programs. Michelle also partnered with the CEO on an initiative to improve stakeholder relationships and facilitated a company-wide leadership and team building event. Prior to that, Michelle worked at PinnacleART as the Learning and Development Manager from August 2013 to March 2016. Michelle also gained experience as a Learning and Development Supervisor at West Liberty Foods from April 2012 to May 2013 and as an Adjunct Professor at Eastern Iowa Community College from January 2012 to May 2012. Michelle started their career as a Graduate Fellow/Teaching Assistant at the University of Iowa from August 2009 to December 2011.

Michelle Horswell obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Speech Communication and Psychology from Houston Christian University. Michelle then pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Communication, General from the University of Iowa, which they completed between 2009 and 2011. In terms of additional certifications, Michelle has obtained the Accredited User certification from The BluePrint Toolset® in October 2022. Michelle also has certifications in Abelson DISC from The Abelson Group, Extended DISC from Extended DISC® USA, U.K., Canada, and Singapore, Leadership Architect from Korn Ferry, and Predictive Index (PI) Trained Analyst from The Predictive Index.
