Alicia Thomas

General Surgeon at Central Carolina Surgery

Dr. Thomas was born in Thomasville, NC. She attended High Point University for her undergraduate education and obtained a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry in 2002. Dr. Thomas obtained her Doctorate of Medicine degree at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. After that, she went on to complete a residency in General Surgery at the Ohio State University. During that time, she also obtained a Masters in Medical Science and performed research in critical care medicine. She is a board-certified general surgeon specializing in colon and rectal surgery.

Dr. Thomas joined Central Carolina Surgery in 2013. Her special interests include colon and rectal cancer, surgical treatment of inflammatory bowel and diverticular diseases, advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery techniques, treatment of diseases of the anal canal and the treatment and management of anal incontinence
