Central Electric is currently seeking candidates to fill the position of Executive Assistant to the CEO.

This position report will work for the President and CEO and report to the Office Manager.

Position Summary:  Provides administrative support for the CEO, Senior Staff and Manager of Administrative Services.  Maintains official correspondence database and Boardpaq/BoardEffect library.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provides administrative support to CEO. Primary responsibility will be managing the CEO’s office.  Duties include organizing meetings, handling phone calls, managing mail & basic correspondence, proofreading documents, keeping meticulous files, scheduling appointments, maintaining calendar, managing travel arrangements, compiling expense reports and ensuring board per diems are paid in an accurate and timely manner.
  2. Provides administrative support to Senior Staff and Manager of Administrative Services. Duties include managing travel arrangements, compiling expense reports, and scheduling.
  3. Maintains Central’s official correspondence database and BoardPaq/BoardEffect library. Duties include scanning all official documents into the database and categorizing each document by subject matter, continuously improving the functionality of the database, and ensuring the completeness of the documents included in the database.
  4. Provide administrative support for Board and committee meetings as requested.
  5. Prepare all employee agenda and presentation.
  6. Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Knowledge and Skills

Must be responsible for the confidentiality and integrity of executive information and data of a highly sensitive nature.Highly organized with excellent skills in grammar, business writing, and verbal communication.

Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal skills.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint;

Basic understanding of and ability to develop and work with budgets.

Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks and assignments, ability to conduct work

efficiently in an independent, self-directed manner with limited supervision.

Education and Work Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Liberal Arts or related field preferred.

Five to seven years prior experience required.

Notary Public Licensed is preferred.

Overnight travel required.
