Gary Hinkel

Gary Hinkel is a seasoned database developer with extensive experience in database administration, application development, and project management. Currently serving at Central Electric Power Cooperative, Inc. since December 2016, Gary specializes in managing databases and developing web-based applications. Previously, as an Application Database Engineer at The North Carolina Partnership for Children, Inc., Gary was involved in database configuration and optimization, as well as integrating various open-source applications. Prior roles include Manager of Special Projects (IT) at the NC Office of the State Auditor, where Gary contributed to IT strategic planning and project management using Agile methodologies, and Oracle DBA/Network Engineer at the NC Department of Agriculture, overseeing the Laboratory Information Management System. Gary holds an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Business Computer Programming from Wake Technical Community College and has additional educational background from North Carolina State University.
