Kerry Koonce

Kerry Koonce has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and organizations. From 1996 to 2004, Koonce worked at the Iowa Department of Economic Development as a Marketing Manager. Following that, from 2004 to 2005, Koonce served as the Director of Marketing & Communications at Planned Parenthood of Greater Iowa. In 2005, Koonce transitioned to Iowa Workforce Development, where they held the role of Communications Director from 2005 to 2013, and later became the Director of Communications & Labor Market Information from 2013 to 2015. Currently, Koonce is employed at Central Iowa Power Cooperative, starting as the Manager of Communications & Public Affairs from 2015 to 2019, then as the Manager of External Affairs from 2019 to 2021. Presently, Koonce holds the position of Vice President, Communications & Corporate Relations at Central Iowa Power Cooperative.

Kerry Koonce attended Drake University from 1991 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science. Later, Kerry pursued further education through the Certified Public Manager Program at Drake University and obtained a certification in this field.
