Matt Helton has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting spanning over 16 years. Matt started their career as a Banking Specialist at Extraco Banks in 2004. Matt then worked as a Purchasing Agent and completed the Vanguard Management Development Program at Victory Packaging in 2007. Following that, they managed all aspects of the retail business as a Retail Manager at Prikryl Marine. In 2010, they joined Texell Credit Union as a Finance Manager, where they oversaw the accounting and payment systems department. From 2012 to 2018, they served as the Accounting Manager at Citizen's State Bank, handling regulatory reporting, period-end closing, and account reconciliations. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President at Central National Bank TX, where they support the bank's mission through financial reporting, analysis, and information delivery to internal clients.

Matt Helton pursued their education in a progressive manner, starting with obtaining a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Management from The University of Texas at Arlington - College of Business in 2006. Matt then proceeded to pursue further studies by completing an Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Tarleton State University in 2010. Later, in the years 2015 to 2017, Matt engaged in post-graduate work at Tarleton State University, specializing in Accounting.

Additionally, Matt Helton obtained a certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy in May 2022.
