Richard Stepanek has extensive work experience in the field of information technology and healthcare. Earlier in their career, they worked as the Executive Principle at tiag, where they provided leadership in engineering, security, and program management for healthcare applications. Richard also held the role of VP, Corporate IT at Hospital Partners of America and Director II at Carolinas HealthCare System. Richard began their career in the US Army Medical Department, where they served as a Medical Service Corps Officer with various roles including Chief Information Officer, Clinic Administrator, and Program Manager.
Richard Stepanek obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration and Management, with a focus on General Management, from the University of Arizona between 1982 and 1985. Richard then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Information Systems at George Mason University from 1995 to 1996. In addition, Richard Stepanek obtained the Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) certification from HIMSS in February 2003.
