Matthew Mathisen

Matthew Mathisen, CPA, has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Matthew is currently working as a Financial Reporting Officer II at Central Pacific Bank since June 2022. Prior to this, Matthew worked at Grant Thornton LLP as an Audit Associate from September 2018 to May 2022. Matthew also gained retail experience at Banana Republic as a Sales and Stock employee from April 2018 to September 2018, and at Macy's as a Shoe Expeditor from October 2017 to March 2018. Matthew's earlier experience includes working as an Intramurals Supervisor and Referee at the University of Houston from August 2014 to August 2017, and as an Audit Intern at Grant Thornton LLP from January 2016 to March 2016. Additionally, they had a mentoring role at Gradlink from January 2015 to April 2015. Prior to their professional career, Matthew gained experience in customer service as a Carhop at Sonic Drive-In from May 2014 to August 2014, and as a Team Lead at Six Flags from May 2010 to July 2011.

Matthew Mathisen, CPA has an extensive educational background in accounting. Matthew obtained a Master's degree in Accounting from the University of Houston, where they studied from 2013 to 2019. Prior to that, they also attended the University of Houston from 2013 to 2017, focusing on accounting but without completing a specific degree.

Before entering college, Matthew graduated from Fort Worth Country Day in 2013, earning a high school diploma in General Education.

In addition to their educational achievements, Matthew has obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy in August 2020.
