Kathy Scott Rummage has extensive work experience in marketing, communications, and media. Kathy started their career as an On-air Announcer at WFDD Public Radio in 1994. Kathy then worked at various news organizations including NBC News, ABC News, and KTBS-TV as a News Reporter, Anchor, and Producer. In 1996, they were a Grant Recipient at The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to create a documentary video on Frank Lloyd Wright's home. Kathy also had a role as a Production Assistant at ABC News. Kathy joined WLOS as a News Anchor and Reporter in 1999, and in 2003, they moved to WBTV as a News Reporter and Anchor. From 2004 to 2006, they served as the Public Relations Manager at Blumenthal Performing Arts, and from 2006 to 2010, they owned their marketing and communications firm, Kathy Scott Rummage Marketing & Communications. Currently, Kathy is the Executive Director of Communications at Central Piedmont Community College, where they have received recognition for their efforts in advancing student success and overseeing media relations for high-profile visits.
Kathy Scott Rummage earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Journalism from Wake Forest University from 1993 to 1997. Prior to that, they obtained their high school diploma from Page High School between 1989 and 1993.
