As an AC Transport Driver, the purpose of this position is the transport commodities such as hot oil, burner oil or tack from refineries to our asphalt hot mix plants.  Previous experience hauling hazardous liquids is preferred.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel throughout Minnesota, North and South Dakota, Western Wisconsin and Southern Canada

  • Regular, consistent attendance and regular overtime at all assigned job sites

  • Valid CDL, Class A with tanker and hazardous materials endorsement required

  • Acceptable motor vehicle record

  • Current DOT Medical card

  • Acceptable roadside inspection record

  • Must be able to meet all Federal Motor Carrier Regulation standards

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

  • Physical strength and endurance to perform all principal duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Drives truck to transport hot oil, burner oil or tack to and from specified destinations

  • Performs daily inspection of truck

  • Operates vehicle using safe and courteous driving techniques

  • Performs minor repairs and routine maintenance on vehicle

  • Obeys all traffic regulations

  • Maintains vehicle logs, as required, according to State and Federal regulations

  • Monitors vehicle performance and reports malfunctions

  • Prioritize safety at all times, following company and industry safety guidelines and protocols.

  • Performs other tasks as needed
