Mssw Emily Mares

Emily Mares, MSSW, currently serves as the Volunteer Engagement Manager at Central Texas Food Bank, leading a team to enhance the volunteer experience and manage the recruitment, training, and retention of over 10,000 volunteers annually. Previously, Emily held several roles at Urban Roots, including Assistant Director Of Development and Development Director, where responsibilities included executing annual fundraising strategies and managing donor relations. At AGE of Central Texas, Emily contributed as Assistant Director of Development and Development and PR Associate, supporting various fundraising activities and managing donor databases. An early career role at the Austin Child Guidance Center as a Social Work Intern involved supporting development and communications initiatives. Additionally, Emily was a Site Coordinator for Project Transformation, overseeing a program for at-risk youth. Emily holds a BA in Sociology and Psychology from Austin College and an MSSW in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin.
