Member Of The Committee Of Experts Of The European Prize For Urban Public Space (2022) at Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB)

Ellen Braae is a prominent figure in architecture and urban development, currently serving as a member of the Expert Panel on Danish Architecture Policy at Kulturministeriet since June 2022 and as a board member at Copenhagen Architecture Festival since March 2022. With extensive involvement in European architectural initiatives, Braae is a member of the Committee of Experts for the European Prize for Urban Public Space at the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona since December 2021 and serves on the IBA Parkstadt Academy 'Expertenrat.' Additionally, Braae has been a professor at the University of Copenhagen's Department of Geosciences and Natural Resource Management since 2009, focusing on improving open space quality and urban landscapes. Braae's leadership roles include being a partner at Berg & Braae since 1995 and having served as Chairman of The Danish Art Foundation’s Architecture Committee until February 2022. Braae has also held a position as a board member for the Danish Arts Foundation. Academically, Braae obtained a PhD in Heritage Studies and Landscape-Based Urban Development from Arkitektskolen Aarhus.
