Carl-Eric Aubin

Carl-Eric Aubin has extensive work experience in the field of medical research and academia. Carl-Eric is currently serving as the Chief Executive and Scientific Officer at TransMedTech Institute since September 2016. Prior to that, they held the position of Full Professor at Polytechnique Montreal starting from April 1996. Alongside this, they also worked as a Scientist at Sainte-Justine University Hospital Center starting from September 1996. Carl-Eric later served as the Deputy Director - Innovation Research & Strategic Development at the same institution from August 2023. Furthermore, they are an Adjunct Professor at Université de Montréal (Dept. Surgery) since 2000.

Carl-Eric Aubin completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal from 1987 to 1991. Carl-Eric then pursued their PhD in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Biomedical Engineering, from 1991 to 1995 at the same institution. In 2018, they were awarded an ScD (h.c.) from Aix-Marseille University. In terms of certifications, they obtained Fellow status from the Canadian Academy of Engineering in 2020. Carl-Eric is also a certified Engineer with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, although the year of certification is unspecified.
