Frances Abela-Dimech

VP, Complex Care & Recovery at CAMH

Frances Abela-Dimech is the interim Vice President, Complex Care and Recovery (CCR) Program which includes the Adult Neurodevelopmental, Forensic, Geriatric and the Psychosis Recovery and Treatment services, as well as several partnerships with community housing providers. She has had a number of roles in healthcare leadership over her 30+ years at CAMH including: Clinical Manager, Advanced Practice Clinical Leader, Quality Patient Safety and Risk Director, Practice Director and Clinical Director.

Frances obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) degree and Master of Nursing (MN) degree in Nursing Administration at the University of Toronto and has an appointment as an Adjunct Lecturer at the Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing. She has obtained CNA certification as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse and has a certificate in Quality and Patient Safety from the University of Toronto.

Frances is committed to enhancing the quality of care for patients and their families, building capacity of staff and supporting clinical teams.
