Greg McCarty has a extensive work experience in the medical field. Greg began their career as a Resident Physician at Carolinas Healthcare System in 1991 and later worked as an Attending Physician at Virginia Commonwealth University in 1997. Greg also held positions as an Assistant Professor of Surgery and Director of Undergraduate Education at Wake Forest Baptist Health, and as an Attending Physician at Gaston Memorial Hospital. In 1999, they worked as a \"Firefighter\" Physician at Emergency Medicine Physicians before joining Hendersonville Emergency Consultants as a Shareholder/Physician in 2007. Greg then worked as an Attending Physician at UNC Health Pardee and as a Medical Director for North Carolina at Med-Trans Corporation. Recently, they served as the Chief Medical Officer/Vice President of Medical Affairs and the Medical Director of the Emergency Department at UNC Health Pardee. Greg also held the position of Chief of Staff at UNC Health Pardee. Currently, they are the Medical Director at Pardee Emergency Physicians.
Greg McCarty began their education at Brevard High School, from 1978 to 1982, where they completed their high school education. After graduating, they attended the University of Virginia from 1982 to 1986. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Chemistry. Following their undergraduate studies, Greg pursued further education and attended The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University from 1987 to 1991, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Medicine.
