Lee Fairclough has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Currently, they are the SVP Clinical Care at CAMH since December 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Interim SVP Clinical Programs at the same organization from June 2023 to December 2023. From 2022 to present, they are also the CEO of LM Fairclough Consulting & Services.
Previously, Lee was an Adjunct Professor at the University of Toronto's Institute of Health Policy Management & Evaluation, DLSPH, starting in August 2015.
In terms of political involvement, they were a candidate for MPP, Etobicoke-Lakeshore in the Ontario Liberal Party from April 2022 to June 2022.
Lee's leadership experience includes serving as the President of St. Mary's General Hospital from January 2020 to April 2022. During this time, they also held the role of Waterloo Wellington Regional Triad Hospital Lead for Pandemic Response at Ontario Health | Santé Ontario, where they planned and coordinated the regional response to the COVID-19 pandemic among hospitals and sectors.
From 2014 to 2019, they held the position of Vice President, Quality Improvement at Health Quality Ontario (HQO).
In their early career, Lee worked at the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer where they held two positions; VP Strategy, Knowledge Management & Delivery from June 2012 to May 2014 and VP Knowledge Management from November 2007 to June 2012.
Additionally, they worked at the University Health Network as the Director of Regional Cancer Planning, Informatics, and Clinical Research Unit, as well as the Manager of the Clinical Studies Resource Centre.
Lee also had a part-time secondment as a Consultant at the Health Results Team, MOHLTC in 2005-2006.
Overall, Lee Fairclough has experienced significant leadership roles in healthcare, academia, and consulting throughout their career.
Lee Fairclough attended McMaster University from 1990 to 1995, where they earned an Hon BSC degree with a major in Biology and a minor in Math. From 1995 to 1997, Lee attended Sunnybrook Regional Cancer Centre, where they completed a degree in MRT(T) in Radiation Therapy. They then went on to attend the University of Toronto from 2000 to 2002, earning a degree in MHSc in Health Administration.
