Leo D. Edwards Ph.d

Leo D. Edwards Ph.D., RSW is a seasoned professional specializing in diversity, equity, and mental health. Since December 2012, Leo has served as a Senior Diversity & Equity Consultant and Assistant Manager for The Office of Health Equity at CAMH, leading innovative health equity initiatives and supporting internal stakeholder engagement. Complementing this role, Leo is the Founder of capABILITY FIRST, offering mental health consultation focused on intersectionality in care. With academic experience as a sessional lecturer at Sheridan College and formerly at Centennial College, Leo teaches subjects related to social diversity and settlement studies. Leo's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Education and Social Justice from Lancaster University, along with degrees in social work from the University of Toronto and York University, highlighting a strong commitment to social justice and community support.
