Kate Mackenzie is a seasoned journalist and consultant with extensive experience in climate and financial sectors. Currently serving as a Contributing Writer for Bloomberg News since February 2020, Kate also contributes as a Consultant for the European Climate Foundation and works as a Research Fellow at the Centre for Policy Development. Previous roles include Director of Finance, Policy and Decision Metrics at Climate-KIC Australia, Head of Finance and Investment at The Climate Institute, and various positions at the Financial Times, including Asia Correspondent and Editor of FT Energy Source. With a background in online journalism and reporting for major outlets like The Australian and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Kate holds a BA in Industrial Relations and Journalism from Griffith University.
