Subia Ahmad is a highly skilled research professional with extensive experience in policy research and environmental consultancy. Currently, Subia serves as a Research Associate and Consultant at the Centre for Policy Research since February 2022. Prior to this role, Subia worked as a Consultant for the World Resources Institute, focusing on sustainable landscapes and restoration from February 2020 to June 2021, and gained foundational research experience at Newslaundry and Gorakhpur Environmental Action Group as an Assistant Researcher and Documentation Coordinator, respectively. Subia's earlier positions include roles as a Research Intern at the Indian Council of World Affairs, a brief internship at the Centre for Dialogue and Reconciliation, and internships with Focus on the Global South and Leh Nutrition Project. Subia holds a Master of Philosophy in West Asian Studies and a Master’s Degree in International Relations and Affairs from Jawaharlal Nehru University, along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Lady Shri Ram College for Women.
