With a senior residency in ophthalmic plastic surgery at AIIMS, New Delhi; and fellowship in ocular oncology at Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, PA, USA, Dr Honavar worked with the LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad as consultant ophthalmologist. He specializes in ocular oncology & is currently the Director - Medical Services at Centre for Sight.
