Renzhu Zhang

Renzhu Zhang is an Analyst at the Centre for Sustainable Finance: Toitū Tahua since March 2023, where responsibilities include supporting research and stakeholder engagement to enhance sustainable finance in Aotearoa New Zealand. Key contributions involve working on the Aotearoa New Zealand Sustainable Finance Taxonomy and National Sustainable Finance Strategy/Action Plan. Prior roles include Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Otago, leading survey design for a project on climate standards and business decision-making, and Strategic Postdoctoral Fellow at the Climate and Energy Finance Group, where project coordination and funding initiatives were central. Renzhu Zhang's early experience includes internships at HSBC and major Chinese financial institutions, complemented by a PhD in Finance from the University of Otago and an MSc in Financial Management from the University of Edinburgh.
