Juan Santiago Azagra Soria

Juan Santiago Azagra Soria has extensive experience in the field of surgery, holding the position of Consultant Senior at the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg since April 2003. In this role, Juan serves as Chirurgien Chef de Service and Maître de Stages in General, Oncological, and Minimally Invasive Surgery, focusing on the training of resident surgeons and providing specialized education in the field. Additionally, Juan co-founded and directs the UMADE, which specializes in diseases of the digestive and endocrine systems. Prior experience includes serving as Chef de Service of Digestive, Vascular, and Thoracic Surgery at Hôpital Universitaire André Vésale in Belgium from September 1986 to March 2003, where responsibilities included service management, patient flow studies, surgical protocol establishment, and training of surgical students. Juan holds a degree in General Surgery and Medicine from Université Libre de Bruxelles, obtained between 1973 and 2006, alongside educational involvement with Colegio de San Francisco Javier in Tudela, Navarra, Spain.
