Adeola Ayotope Oyesiji is a research student at the Centre of Marine Sciences (CCMAR) focusing on in vitro shoot cultures for the medicinal halophyte Polygonum maritimum L. Adeola's academic background includes a Master of Science in Marine Biological Resources, with studies conducted at Ghent University, Université de Bretagne Occidentale, and Universitetet i Bergen. Previous experiences include a summer course at the University of Gothenburg researching hermit crab responses to stressors, professional practice at S2AQUAcoLAB identifying fish pathogens, and roles at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) that improved fish production and facilitated training for youth in aquaculture. Additional experience includes an internship at Erinwe Farm increasing sales and managing stakeholder production schedules, quality control internship at IITA enhancing product quality, and an administrative assistant role at Fan Milk Nigeria improving reporting systems.
