Aoife Coughlan has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Aoife is currently working as the Head of Operations at Care-Connect, a position they started in November 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Project Manager- HeartCare at Home at Centric Health from February 2021.
From May 2018 to February 2021, Aoife worked as a Programme Manager (Rare Diseases & IBD) at Genuity Science, where they managed various projects related to rare diseases and inflammatory bowel disease.
Before that, they were the Research Manager at Children's University Hospital Temple Street from July 2015 to May 2018. Lastly, Aoife worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator- Gastroenterology at Our Lady's Children's Hospital Crumlin from September 2012 to January 2015. In this role, they were responsible for the development and management of the DOCHAS research program, which focused on integrated epidemiological, clinical, genetic, microbial, and basic science-based research in patients with new-onset inflammatory bowel disease.
Aoife Coughlan began their education in 1999 at St. Josephs College Lucan where they completed their secondary school education. Aoife then attended Ulster University from 2006 to 2012, earning a Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Dietetics. Following that, from 2009 to 2013, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Ulster.
