Javier Rodriguez Zaurin

Javier Rodriguez Zaurin is an experienced Machine Learning Engineer and Scientist specializing in Natural Language Processing, currently working at Sama since April 2024. Previously, Javier served as a Research Associate at Centro de Astrobiologia, collaborating with Prof Pablo Pérez Gonzalez on projects that integrate Astronomy and Machine Learning. Javier was the Head of Machine Learning at Assetario, overseeing a team focused on in-app recommendation systems for mobile games, and prior to that, held leadership roles in various organizations, including Cazana, Hazy, Simply Business, and Aimia Inc, where responsibilities included designing ML strategies and leading teams in diverse applications such as vehicle valuation and retail recommendation systems. Javier completed a Ph.D. in Astronomy and Astrophysics from The University of Sheffield and holds a degree and master's in Theoretical Physics from Universidad de Zaragoza.
